Before we explain further the difference between BCP and DRP  let’s identify first what is BCP  & DRP stands for.  BCP is  Business Continuity Plan while DRP is  Disaster Recovery Plan.

Mostly people think BCP and DRP are the same but actually they are not. BCP is a suite course of action your organization need to do which include the DRP, while DRP is more incline in the Technology aspect.

BCP is considered also as a complete package of activities including the Technology side (DRP) , COST, People, Procedures and Assessments. So when they say BCP exercise drill it means all your operation need to stop temporary, require all your staff to participate while DRP is just a set of procedures to recover technology devices.
